Welcome to the Community Energy England State of the Sector portal.

Community energy is about people and communities taking democratic control over their energy future, by understanding, generating, using, owning and saving energy in their communities, as well as working together across regions and nationally.

This site is for organisations to tell us about the community energy projects they are involved in, or actively developing. State of the Sector is a collaborative data and research project with Community Energy Scotland and Community Energy Wales.

This database and our research provides the most comprehensive and inclusive view of community energy in the UK and allows us to provide data to enable our members and other stakeholders to communicate about the sector as a whole. Data is also vital for enabling us to highlight sectoral achievements, make a positive case for community energy and its role in the net zero transition, and play our crucial role as the voice of the sector to influence government policy and other key sector decision makers.

If you wish to provide data, please click the "Log in" button in the top right to access or register for the portal.
